Research-Backed Care, Tailored to You

Jones Hill is built on deep involvement in research on suicidality, trauma, and perinatal mental health. That matters, because much of what we know about effective therapy comes from carefully controlled studies.

Our clients arrive with overlapping stressors, histories, and needs. We’re trained to use research-backed approaches as they were designed, and to apply them with care and judgment—so care remains both effective and responsive to the person in front of us.

This is what we mean by “Research-backed care, tailored to you.”

Our Brand Values That Pave The Way for Our Work

we believe in skilled care, delivered with humanity

We believe effective care requires research-backed training and authentic relationships. We use proven approaches (because they work) and we deliver them with care, attention, and respect for the person in front of us.

WE BELIEVE IN STRUCTURE THAT SUPPORTS REAL LIFE

Clear structure helps people steady themselves in hard moments. Our work is designed with intention: offering guidance, tools, and programs that are organized, practical, and built to be used outside the therapy room.

WE BELIEVE IN SERIOUS WORK, DONE TOGETHER

We take complex mental health care seriously without making it feel clinical or impersonal. High standards and human connection aren’t opposites here, they’re what allow people to feel safe enough to do difficult work.

Meet Founder Sina Jones

LCSW

Sina Jones, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC working with teens, young adults, parents, and those navigating pregnancy and postpartum. She holds a certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and has advanced training in DBT, EMDR, CAMS, and SPACE.

Sina focuses on helping individuals navigate overwhelming anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and painful histories, intense emotions, as well as food and body concerns. She collaborates closely with psychiatrists, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and schools so care remains connected and responsive. Her work is grounded in well-studied methods and offered in a way that feels calm, personal, and deeply respectful of the person sitting across from her.

Having spent 15 years living and working overseas, Sina brings firsthand understanding of the particular demands that international life places on individuals and families — the disruptions to routine, the weight of frequent transitions, the complexity of navigating international schools, and the unique pressures that fall on each member of a family living far from their support system.

For families in the foreign service, that lived experience is something you will feel from the first conversation.

Sina’s commitment to the science of care is reflected in her active roles in clinical research. She is a member of the research team at the Yale School of Medicine Child Study Center Anxiety Lab, where current work focuses on SPACE — Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions — as a treatment for adolescent anxiety disorders. Her research engagement extends to one of the country’s leading suicide prevention programs at the Catholic University of America, where she contributes to federally funded clinical trials and multisite studies shaping how suicidality is assessed and treated across military, hospital, and outpatient settings nationwide. She is recognized for her commitment to clinical excellence through her active affiliation with Postpartum Support International.
