Your Partner For Group Therapy
We know that isolation often magnifies the challenges of anxiety, burnout, or major life changes. If you’re here, you know this too and that many clients need more support—but not inpatient or hospital-based care. We’re here to fill this need and be your partner in care for your patients.
We Offer Group Therapy For:
Emotional dysregulation in teens, young adults, and parents
Anxiety and OCD-spectrum conditions
Peer relationship, social communication, and executive functioning difficulties in teens and young adults
Functional communication skill-building in children and teens
Disordered eating recovery in teens and young adults
Parents supporting anxious or emotionally sensitive children and teens

Our Group Therapy Approach
At Jones Hill, group therapy is a core part of our work. Our groups are structured, research-backed, and designed to complement—not replace—ongoing individual treatment. They provide skill-building, guided practice, and peer connection in a setting that supports positive change over time.
We do this through a few approaches, including:
peers
— social skills groups for adolescents and young adults, certified PEERS provider (UCLA PEERS Clinic)
Process groups
— Insight-oriented groups including DBT process groups, disordered eating recovery groups and parent coaching groups.
DBT Skills
— skills training groups for teens, young adults, and parents. Our DBT groups are facilitated by clinicians with comprehensive DBT foundational training through Psychwire (University of Washington) and Behavior Tech (Linehan Institute).
Exposure & Response Prevention
— Graduated, research-backed exposure work for young adults with anxiety and OCD-spectrum presentations, and SPACE-informed groups for parents of anxious children and adolescents.
What to Expect in a Group Setting
A calm atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace.
Sessions typically include guided discussions, skill-building exercises, and opportunities to practice skill use in a supportive environment.
Groups are intentionally small (maxing at 6-10)
Many groups offer rolling admissions, making it easier to refer when your patient is ready.
We view our role as complementary to ongoing individual treatment — the provider’s relationship with the client remains central, and we’re here to support the work they are already doing.
Our Locations
Our physical locations are in Falls Church and Bethesda. But we meet with groups virtually as well. Reach out to hear about which groups might best for your patient.
