Biography
Kim helps adolescents, young adults, and adults turn insight into practical steps toward a more manageable, fulfilling daily life. Whether a client is struggling to get started, keep up with responsibilities, or navigate a transition, she works collaboratively to understand what is getting in the way and build strategies that fit their strengths, needs, and goals.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Kim brings a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to executive function assessment, individual coaching, and group work. She helps clients understand how they learn, plan, organize, and follow through—and how these skills connect with emotional well-being, relationships, and success at school, work, and home. As part of Jones Hill’s intentionally multidisciplinary team, she collaborates with colleagues to connect executive function support with each client’s broader needs.
Before joining Jones Hill, Kim served as Director of Assessments and Executive Functioning Services at Metropolitan Counseling Associates. She contributed to its Ascend and Ascend Lite programs and co-founded LaunchWell, a college readiness program. She is trained in cognitive, educational, and vocational assessments, certified in the PEERS® program, and trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Kim is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Virginia and Maryland and a board-approved supervisor in her field. She enjoys mentoring early-career clinicians and supporting their professional growth. She earned her undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders and psychology from James Madison University and her master’s in speech-language pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Kim sees clients in Bethesda and offers executive function coaching online nationwide.
