When everything feels disorienting, you need a clear point of reference. A place that helps you pause, get your bearings, and take the next step. Jones Hill is meant to be that place.
- the hill you can stand on when the ground feels unsteady, the landmark you return to when you need to
find your way
How We Help
We primarily support teens and their families, young adults, and postpartum parents through major transitions like:
the move to middle school or college
becoming a parent
adolescence to adulthood, and/or
healing from difficult experiences
These transitions often bring overwhelming anxiety, moments when safety feels uncertain, struggles with food and body, difficulty with organization and follow-through, and intense family stress. These are moments when emotions run high and the body feels on edge.
These are the moments we can help you and yours through.
Ways We Can Support
Pregnancy +
Postpartum Therapy
If you’re feeling like this time in your life is nothing like what you were told to expect, we get it.
Our therapists have specialized training in perinatal mental health and understand the specific weight of this season in ways that general support often can’t fully address.
Therapy for teens and young adults
From the teenage years into early adulthood, life can feel full of uncertainty and stress. We support teens and young adults in understanding themselves, managing challenges, and finding balance, while also partnering with families when it’s most helpful.
Individual Therapy
This work is focused and one-on-one, and may be recommended on its own or alongside group therapy.
If you’re unsure what kind of support would be most helpful, you can reach out directly and we’ll help you think through next steps.
Group therapy
Our groups are structured, skill-focused, and intentionally small. They’re a place to practice, to learn, and to meet others in the room who’ve been through something similar.
At Jones Hill, we’re honored to say our groups are often recommended by well-respected therapists, pediatricians, and schools across the DC Metro and Northern Virginia areas.
Executive Functioning & School Support
School transitions and learning support can be challenging to navigate on your own.
We help families identify needs, navigate school systems, and access neuropsychological evaluations and support — all in one place.
Meet Our Therapists
The team at Jones Hill are specialists, not generalists. They’ve trained extensively in approaches that are built for complex, high-stakes situations, and they bring that same level of seriousness to every client they see. But training only gets you so far. What you’ll also find here is a team that genuinely cares about you as a whole person.
Your Steps to Get Started
Fill out our contact form
Then we will reach out and have a brief, complimentary phone call. This is a low-pressure way for you to share what’s going on and for us to see if we’re the right fit for your needs.
Schedule your first session
If it’s a match, then we schedule our first session. Whether you are seeing a therapist in DC online or visiting us in person, we’ll use this time to understand your story and identify where you want to go.
Build a plan for you
After our first session, we’ll build a plan using tools like DBT and/or EMDR that are all tailored to you. We stay connected with your other providers, like your OB/GYN, psychiatrist, or school team, so your care remains coordinated.
